My skin cleared up tremendously from acne breakouts because I made the sacrifice to give up caffeine, alcohol, dairy, starchy foods and sugary foods. I have been breakout free for about 12 days now. Sure, I lost a few pounds, but that is because my body is not consuming mass quantities of bread, rice, and pasta. Dr. Martin KNOWS what he is talking about. I am taking his supplements now to help alleviate my acne scars. In my opinion, dairy is the absolute worst for acne sufferers.

So you’re saying live might be or is the cause of acne?

Yes, your liver may be part of the cause. Back up of toxins can be excreted through the skin. Also, your liver conjugates (processes) your hormones to detoxify your blood stream. Studies show IGF-1 hormone (insulin reactions to sugar) to be a contributor to acne.Dr. M

So if u drink Alchohol does that effect your acne then? through my analysis it gives me a few more pimples but im not really sure

Yes. alcohol itself can stress the liver and the glycemic (sugar content) load can cause increased insulin response and IGF-1 hormones which have been proven to affect acne.Dr. M

the real question is…what causes excess oil production and inflames the pore…its not as simple as traditional medical explanation would have you think. One major contributor is dairy as shown by my personal experience and a 1999 Harvard involved study showing exactly that…dairy = acne problem. Dairy is one underlying cause. Hope that helps.Dr. M

Most of the Doctors I’ve been to see about my acne haven’t actually had it themselves. I’d listen to this dude on the basis that he’s had acne and now it’s gone, therefor he’s a great inspertation. Who cares what his job is?
