Product Description
Dermatologists have been using Blue Light Therapy to reduce and eliminate acne breakouts for over 20 years. This technology is FDA Approved and has been proven effective in numerous clinical studies conducted by the American Academy of Dermatology and the British Academy of Dermatology. Blue Light Therapy is safe and effective, but it has never been affordable for the average acne sufferer.

Trophy Skin was formed by a group of professionals from the medical aesthetics industry, and the founders previously owned a medical spa that has performed thousands of laser and light based skin rejuvenation treatments. We set out to create a device that reduces and eliminates acne using clinically proven technology, while remaining affordable for people from all walks of life.

Trophy Skin uses a proprietary, custom-manufactured bulb that emits the exact spectrum of light needed to kill acne causing bacteria. Trophy Skin is used to prevent acne breakouts before they form, reduce the severity of acne after it has formed, and over time, permanently reduce or remove acne from your life. The light causes the bacteria to die, which in turn shrivels the pimples, pustules, and cysts on your skin. Consistent use of Blue Light Therapy also helps decrease the amount of oil and sebum on your skin, and has been shown to shrink the pore size in some individuals. Goggles included for your convenience.

A Note on Handheld Devices: Try holding your hand up to your face for 10, 15, or 20 minutes. It won’t work, we promise. Handheld devices are usually under-powered as it is, since they run on batteries. Add to that the short amount of time you would actually hold it to your face, and you get a recipe for disappointment.

After reading the great reviews of this product, I was really hoping for some great results, but after four weeks, I have seen no positive changes. I have had acne problems for the past 12 years and I have tried everything, anti-biotics, no sugar & carb diets, holistic vitamins and face toners, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, ALA etc… without ever seeing a difference. And now I have one more method to add to my list.

I used the product as instructed, every day, sometimes twice a day. Since you have to use it for 20-30 min on each spot, holding the device no less than 6 inches from your face, I found I had to do at least an hour total to get my cheeks, chin and forehead. Which needless to say is VERY time consuming and a little boring since it is hard to do much else while you are holding a huge light, wearing goggles, and being blasted with the very bright light. All this would have been worth it though, if it had helped, but it didn’t.

After four weeks my skin is just as bad as when I started. Maybe this product works for other people, and maybe it will work for you, but it didn’t help me at all. I am in the process of returning the light, hopefully there wont be any problems there!

This thing really works, I’ve tried a couple of handheld acne lamps and they were too small and totally not powerful enough. With this it actually tingles and makes my acne go away after a few sessions!

This thing is pretty awesome, easy to use and works well on my acne. I’ve been using it for a few months with some consistency and I’m impressed with how quickly my breakouts go away.

I bought this blue light acne treatment lamp from my local medspa here in Fort Worth after having gone there many times for laser treatments, chemical peels, and microderms. The aesthetician that did my treatments suggested this as a good home therapy product to help enhance the effects of the things I was already doing to keep my acne under control. Like any girl with persistent acne, I have tried all the topical creams and even been on some medications. But the most effective treatment for me has been using the blue light. I first had several sessions done at the medspa itself, but those were getting pretty costly at $75 per session.

That’s when they suggested I try the Blue MD, their home treatment device that had the same light source. For $200 I decided to give it a try, and it has been really successful so far. I have used it for 6 months now, at first I started using it every day, then cut down to 3 times per week, and now I only use it maybe once a week, if that. Whenever I feel a breakout coming on, I will just turn on the lamp and lay under if for about 20 minutes, and right away I notice less redness and inflammation. If I keep it up, the acne will be gone within a few days!

I bought this product in July ‘09 after a horrible episode of adult onset acne. I couldn’t tame the acne breakouts at all even with trips to the dermatologist. After a week of using this product daily, my facial acne began to disappear. I combine the blue light treatment with professional skin care and it really works.

I now use the blue light treatment 3 times a week at minium to keep acne at bay. I am pleased and would recommend this product.
